Minnie Mouse is a cartoon character created by The Walt Disney Company in 1928. She is an anthropomorphic mouse with a white bow and polka-dotted dress, occasionally wearing low-heeled shoes with ribbons. Mickey Mouse comic strip writers Merrill De Maris and Floyd Gottfredson originally called her Minerva Mouse in their story "The Gleam" (published January 19 - May 2, 1942).
